Poor and overpriced selection, bad and biased customer service, owner was bad mouthing and complaining about competition in front of children and customers. Gummy watermelon aliens and sour strawberries have no distinct flavor— Homogenous. Male shopkeep was condescending when I asked how about “candy salad” sign out front. The owner was incredibly rude when she rang me out. Not a soda/pop shop there is no bar to sit at and hardly any sodas to choose from, bag of matcha kitkats is nearly $15. I understand there are potential import cost but golly. Can only pick two candy types for 1/4lb “candy salad”. Over all poop experience, too bad because I’m a sweet tooth and would have been a repeat customer. Gave me poor service Im assuming because I had never been in before even though i am a carlisle native and popped in when i had time to kill after work—general contractor, was mudding drywall all day. Local competitors are not the issue, its you, your vibes, your pricing and lack of unique selection. Try being less cold and abrupt at the register. Your fake servicey voice still read as “youre not welcome here”. Im queer and bipoc.

Very cool shop and the kids love the harry potter gear. Definitely have to check hours ahead of time. Have found ourselves walking over with the kids several times to find them closed.

Georgie Lou's is a fun candy store that also sells pop culture items. I picked up a Grogu t-shirt at a really good price! We also got a funky specialty soda and some candy. It's a fun place with a very friendly and welcoming owner. If you are in Carlisle, you have to stop in and get your candy fix.

I've been planning on visiting this store for a while, and luckily, we found it while taking a stroll in downtown Carlisle. I love the vibe here. It has a lot of pop culture décor and merch, along with old-fashioned candies. I found my favorite candy cigarettes and fireballs. In the center, they have foreign candies, like Chinese skittles and Indian KitKats. The prices are alright, definitely cheaper than the mall.

So excited to see some of my favorite foods and candies from pop culture! This store is an absolute gem - make sure you go in and say hi to Stephanie while you order some Butterbeer Fudge :)
